Mugging @ Macs
Met up with Kat and JiaXian today to mug at Parkway Macs. This is not the usual kind of place I like to mug in due to the noise level but I decided to give it a try cuz it's quite close to my place compared to my usual locations like Mugland and Changi Budget terminal.
Productivity was just average. I only managed to finish my Ionic Equilibrium tutorial, which was'nt too difficult (compared to the see-and-die Block Test Paper). I still have some probability tutorial qns to finish tommorow which the probability of completing is 0.000000000000001 cuz the questions are like darned difficult to understand.

Pool
Went for a pool session after mugging to remove all the stress accumulated through doing tutorials(what a nice name for homework). I played with Kat first and it was quite a close competition. She won in the end. XD
Then played 3-man pool, which was quite funny. Ask JiaXian to explain the rules. I'll probably cock up if you ask me to write here. haha!=)

Am I really that stupid?

We all know that A'levels are going to be difficult and the next 6 months is going to be fill with lots of blood, sweat and tears. But don't weep too much over this set-back cuz there is more for us to overcome. Ignore your negative emotions and strive forward!(I know it's easier said than done) But none-the-less let's all push ourselves to our highest ability. We may not be as smart as Elite JC students but we are definitly not stupid!=) Jiayou!

Do learn from McDull here...who's mugging as hard as we are. =)

Talk by David Tay:

Last Wednesday, we had this talk by David Tay about runing cafe business in campus and some other business related stuff. And I should say it's quite interesting, given the fact that he runs a cafe in NUS campus just like out Perkafe..only on a much larger scale. Most of his problems are similar to ours but he came up with a number of useful solutions which are quite applicable to us...XD Hope we prevail this year!=)

Beforethe talk, JiaXian gave us this little teaser to..err...create some atmosphere? (Sounds geographically wrong) XD And we ended up being sabo-ed on stage...XD..how malu..

Perkafe Training:

hmmm..I hope we're not boring the J1s...lucky we had a few enthu ones like....err...i see if I can remember..Denise, Desmond,LiAn...and...hmm...I think I forgot their names...shit..XP...paiseh! But they really helped us alot. Including Desmond who kinda had a taste of doing Perkafe duty during soccer matches....hmm...I need to train him more..he looks like the Perkafe OM kind...XD

Blockies:

Verdict as I predicted: Totally Screwed Big Time.

U for maths...and what's so depressing is that I'm just 1 bloody mark away from a Sub-Pass. Stupid me never study+pratice hard enough.

U for Chem: Expected. Probably the worst fail grade I ever got in my 12 years of education. Cuz the mark is just damned freaking low. So much for studying for 9 days straight during term break...without a break.

Pass(I won't say by how much) for GP essay. the only subject that seems to give me some encouragement. The skills I learnt from Mr Nathan(Finally spelled correct XD) are starting to show it's appeal to my essay markers and some opf my hours of hard work have finally started to pay off.

From now on, I will be moving towards posting less to give me more time in mugging. Most probably a post every Friday(or even less frequently) should be enough. =)

Bowling for KuKu's:
Demonstrator: Clarice
Physics Consultant:Daniel

Step1:
Allign ball with the centre-line. Get a friend who pass Physics like Daniel to help.

Step2:
Push ball gently so ball rolls steadily towards pins. Meanwhile, use your mental power to control the ball. remember to use nice words.

Step3:
Sit and wait..........
Result:
The ball should be able top knock down most, if not, all pins. If not, the ball should hit gentle enough such that the computer is unable to register it as a round so you can have a bonus round. =)
Nice right?!

Some thing to note:

When you gently push the ball, please don't be so gentle until the ball gets stuck.(Like Boey here)

And you end up asking poor+ suay souls like Leon to help you retrieve the ball.
Vantage Point:Movie
The above is what we learnt while bowling @ Marina today. We also watched this movie which JX reccommended and I have to say that it was the "Bomb"!
Basically the plot is about 40mins about tyhe differnt points of view on the assasination of a president through the eyes of 7 witnesses and the terrorist. This means that the movie has 8 flash-backs whereby each flashback reveals a clue to who the culprits are.
Very good movie if you like the detective kind. Very boring for those just wanting to see action cuz the first 40mins is really watching the same thing over and over again.

Ku-Ku-ness @ Meridian
Kat once told me that Caffiene makes you go high.

And she does have a point.
This is what happened when JiaXian treated us with his 12 cans of coffee...With the sudden surge of "Yay-ness" we decided to do some construction...how about Burj Dubai?

And....this is what happens when you have too high a CG(centre of gravity). Ouch! Everyone okay????=)
Don't worry. The collapse of this building is not the result of a terrorist attack, but caffiene induced ku-ku-ness.
Oh!And if anyone sees Mas Selamat, please inform the authorities as soon as possible to better safe-guard the safety of our nation.(very serious nation-building comment)
And please dont grab Hong Han along even if he looks like the fugitive. He's innocent( very not-serious + unconstructive joke...) Yes. He has seriously no relation to that guy okay. =)

Juz some short notes:
Chem and Maths yesterday confirms that my BLockies sure GG already. Maths was a killer cuz I left out almost 35-40% of the paper blank. (Not too bad considering some people can finish the paper in under an hour...by leaving even more blanks). Chem was actually much better than the killer Lecture test by "Master Ramen" but since I was unable to burn all my organice notes and drink them in time, the knowledge just does'nt flow out. GAARRRR!!
So far GP seems ok. Geog was challenging but I think it should'nt kill me....I hope....XP
Anyway, CSE was a bore cuz alot of things are..very..SIAN. Hopefully they come up with something more GP-ish so I can anyhowly spam.=) Hehe!=)

MythBusters Mugger's Special Episode 2.
Top 10 Mugger myths.
These are some myths about mugger life in MJ which we are going to analyse today. Most of which are collected from last year and this year's batch of J1s

1. wah! So cool! POOL TABLE!
2.they even have a swing! So romantic!
3.Ahh! Tutorials! Dun do nevermind
4.Test ar..only lecture test, everyone fail together
5.CCA is great! let's run for EXCO position!
6.ooh! Mugging is sooooo COOL! It's SO hip!
7.what?! they call them Blockies! What a cute name!
8.Mr Chee is so nice to bully!XD (this is always true!)
9.Chem SPA is just damned Spectacular!
10. Let's go out this weekend and play shall we?Sure can catch up one!
Our verdict?

Before we proceed, please drop away your mugging material into the nearest book drop. Small people please be careful not to fall in. XD
Excessive mugging is bad for your brain( Myth confirmed by people going Woodbridge 1 month prior exams) and body( Confirmed again by "someone" who died at XJC recently...really)

Myth1:Plausible
The pool table is cool but spending too much time pooling will result in "Mdm" throwing you into the pool(the one with a very nice fountain)
Myth2:Plausible
Don't get too romantic as the swing is for 3. Besides engrossing too much with your dear will make your other "dear"(your results) angry. And they come with vengence. Don't let those "arrows" that come in "U's" scare you.
Myth3: BUSTED
Tutorials are a MUST DO! Just look at our blockies! They simply copy-and-paste-ed all the hard hard cheem cheem questions from tutorial! Some tutors actually check studetns for doing their tutorials and those who fail to do so....hehe..ask Chris-Chen. "I give you "FORM A" and you will take it down to Ms Lai and she'll treat you to her personaly hand-made coffee."
Myth4:BUSTED
Yes. We all fail our tests together. Blockies are a prime example. Quote:"Maths ar..maths very easy. After get back results Ms Lai sure treat us one!"(You know what that means) The consequences shall be censored shall we?
Myth5:TOTALLY BUSTED
I shall not elaborate. Ask any EXCO member and you get the full picture. I think Syen will agree with me.
Myth6:TOTALLY BUSTED
MUGGING gives you A's during your A's. But over-doing it will kill you.
Myth7:TOTALLY BUSTED
Blockies are NOT CUTE at all.
Myth8:Confirmed
Mr Chee is always very very very very very nice to bully. An exploding cake for his birthday would definitley be suiting (just joking). Very nice to di-siao during consultations too. (I don't take physics by the way)
Myth9:BUSTED
Since when is SPA exciting?! If that's the case, our hosts, Adam Savage And Jamie Hynemen would have hosted this episode personally! Forget about big explosions or spectacualr super-sized myths. All you do is memorize, regurgitate, memorize,regurgitate,memorize......until one fine day, you see some slpattered remains of your brain on your SPA paper.
Myth10:BUSTED
Why?One paticularly famous principal once said:
To get your A's, you have to mug 4 hours on weekdays and 10 hours on weekends.(You should know her well.)

Happy Birthday SP!!

It's been some time since we last met and it was quite regretful that TK Media could not meet up today cuz all of us are busy mugging for our blockies. BUT, nevermind! Studies more important we'll meet up soon after blockies kae!

So many things to mug So little time! This is what all of us have to sigh about when it comes to our blockies. Today we had only 3 people mugging cuz the rest of the clique could not make it. I think they went to NUS. Anyway, while mugging or de-mugging(turning down your mugging power for a break) here are some photos of MJ which you might not have seen before. Today's sky is unusually clear and sunny which makes for great pictures.

事情發生在美國的一所大學。
在快下課時教授對同學們說 ?'我和大家做個遊戲，誰願意配合我一下。 '
一女生走上台來。
教授說 ?' 請在黑板上寫下你難以割捨的二十個人的名字。 '
女生照做了。有她的鄰居、朋友以、親人等等。
教授說 ?' 請你劃掉一個這裏面你認為最不重要的人。 '
女生劃掉了一個她鄰居的名字。
教授又說?' 請你再劃掉一個。 '
女生又劃掉了一個她的同事。

教授再說 ?'請你再劃掉一個。 '
一生中最重要的人

最後，黑板上只剩下了三個人，她的父母、丈夫和孩子。
教室非常安靜，同學們靜靜的看著教授，感覺這似乎已不再是一個遊戲了。

她舉起粉筆，劃掉了父母的名字。

緊接著，她哇的一聲哭了，樣子非常痛苦。

教授等她平靜了一下，問道
'和你最親的人應該是你的父母和你的孩子，因為父母是養育的人，孩子是你親生的而丈夫是可以重新再尋找的，為什麼丈夫反倒是你最難割捨的人呢？ '

同學們靜靜地看著她，等待著她的回答。女生平靜而又緩慢地說道?' 隨著時間的推移，父母會先我而去，孩子長大成人後肯定也會離我而去，真正陪伴我度過一生的只有我的丈夫

5 Car Pile-up @ Loyang= Stupid + Very LOOOONG Traffic Jam

The very long line of buses getting stuck just outside White Sands P.School.

Very misty due to the rain. But you can make out the traffic police blocking up the whole of Loyang ave. I should NOT have taken 53 today! ARRRGGHHH!

Blockies:

Spent the last 2 days mugging with the clique, which could have been more productive if there had been no pool table. Next time I should have just taken the keys and err...forgot to bring it? So people will mug and not play pool and make lots of noise? haha! No wonder Daniel's so angry when I want the keys back!XD Daniel ar...Next time I ask C***** to teach you a lesson then you know!

And..for some reason the topic about "Angels" seem to have sprung up again..sooo.. I shall explain the whole analagy with a nice follow-up of "Broke Back College"....After Blockies ofcourse!

Some random stuff before extending Offline hours:

Due to the extreme pressure from yesterday's A Level release, I shall blog less regularly. As a matter of fact, this blog will be inactive until March 25. And probably I shall blog once weekly( probably on fridays only) instead of my current 2-post a week schedule.

I shall make my last post some time on Monday.

It's been some time since I last visited IKEA and tasted their ever so oversized + mouth watering Hot dogs. Besides, they cost only $1 ! Do you know our stupid canteen sells JUST 3 microscopic sized fried tofus for a wallet blasting $1.20?!?!

And..it's also been some time since i last hung around a bunch of girls. Ever since I started hanging out with people from S207 + Geraldine +Jeremy, I often find a sex balance between girls and guys. Though sometimes we have our "small boy" (you know who is she..yes it's a she) who tags along with the guys.

Hmm....I suddenly feel like a Shonen character surrounded by chiobus...I wonder if that's a complement or an insult....oh well..enough of making a fool of myself....XD

A Level results 2007:
First of all, let's congratulate Kathy, SiuYin and Zimin for getting an 'A' for their Chinese, as well as all other people who are satisfied with their results.
For those who are not, all the best if you are re-taking and all the best mugging very hard for your other H2's! This new Syllabus is screwed so we'ed better pia+ mug hard hard to get a place in Uni.
ANNNNNNND! Congratulations to Hendrik, Wei Qiang, Sarly, Hui Ting,Gerlina and Div for scoring wonderful grade for their A's!!! And thankyou Hendrik for spluring @ Perk today!
