The Story Of Raffles Statue
LoL..This has got to be the most crappiest post I've ever posted. It's also the most politically incorrect. Cuz it's about Raffles and Durians.
Disclaimer: This "cartoon" has no political agenda and is purely a satirical piece of "humour" or otherwise known as crap. This idea was inspired by "We Live in Singapura" animation by NCH animations. Available on YouTube.

After a long sea voyage, Raffles lands at the mouth of Singapore River.

He meets local gangster lord Sao Feng Chan:

Shocked by the pungent smell of the durian, Raffles stones...

And he turns into a statue...

LoLx...enjoy...this is what happens when you over-mugged and you are dying for any kind of entertainment. Including self-entertainment...
Oh well, blogger has given me a really nice problem with uploading the scenes. took me some time to do that. And Friendster is also giving me a really great problem..now i can't add or delete anything from my profile..nor can I view my friends(contacts)..lol...duno wat's wrong with the whole internet la..haizz....

GP
Oh well, had our mental excercise this morning with our really mind-boggling GP paper. Paper One was not too difficult cuz i wrote the easiest Topic: mass media. paper Two was the Killer. We were given this cheemo passage about Money and happiness and we had to answer a bunch of questions all in own words, even the summary. (This is worse dan Os cuz Os u still can copy n re-arange the words. This time they want total change to the words and phrases.) The first few questions were rather understandable. But the last questions and the summary was the part that literally killed us off. Most of us were silently swearing at the questions cuz we have no idea of what they want. oh well, I might as well swear here to show the severity: KNNCCB!!! Thankyou.

Learning "Journey"

learning On the MRT!!!

This learning journey turned out to be a makan and misbehave session. Our class first created havoc at marina KFC by re-arranging their tables. We then started crapping about "sensitive topics" whcih led to sudden outbursts of laughter and screams from the table. So much so that some of the lights actually "auto-turn-offed" a few times while we were there.

Chiobus of 501 @ KFC

Our visit to Esplanade was equally crazy. We "proposed" to Mrs chua on the roof-top with our bouquet of Farrero Rocher Chocs(Sorry..i think i spell wrong..hehe). We also had an ice-cream treat from Haagen Daz. Cuz HQ used to work at their Esplanade branch. So the Person In-charge there(Not manager...I think?) gave us double scoop for the price of one! He's like so good! And i can tell you the ice-cream there is unmatchable. If you thought Perkafe ice-cream was nice, try Haagen Daz..you'll never regret spending that $4.90. Really....once a life-time must try.
Oh well, I'd better let the pics do the talking...=)

OMG! I looks super retard in this pic la! i was supposed to be strangling Ben...No i look like I'm gona hug him....disgusting!

Some Arty pics worth publishing.

Art really connects people. Like this high-rise window cleaner, who has his life hung on a piece of art: The Durian!

Oversized Durian....persoanlly, I find the esplanade more like an oversized fruit delicacy rather than a artistic building as some people claim. Besides, I have started to like durians. They may smell like (HK ppl like to call them cat shit cuz thery kinda smell like that) but their taste is.....one word: heavenly!

Really cute glass err...mushrooms popping out of the grass

Need i say more?

Sculpture

Under construction

Pirates of the Carribean
After our learning journey, the whole level of J1s were required to report to Shaw Towers to watch Pirates of Carribean( At World's End). apparently MJ booked the ENTIRE theatre just for us! And the theatre was HUGE! It could seat like more than 900 people. Best of all, all the audience is" your own people" so everyone could laugh or cheer without feeling malu. So the whole theatre was really noisy with all of us laughing and cheering all the while. The movie rocked totally. First of all, the music( aiya...hear every year from TK Band...but it does refreshes my memory....oh man..i really miss cheering for them and doing council cheer-leading..hehe!) Ok..so the music was wonderful, and the story was great too. The best part was where Will proposed to Elizabeth during the battle between the Pirates and Davy Jones. The scene was very tense, but the "Proposal" of marriage made the scene hilarious. The whole theatre was like laughing throughout. Another funny part was a small scene when jack Sparrow asked his dad about his mum. It was like:
Sparrow: So how's mum?
Dad:(Shows sparrow a skull)
Sparrow: Oh you look great!
wahlau...his expression damn funny la...
And one last thing for people planning to watch this film. REMEMBER to stay behind after the credits cuz there's still a samll part after it to end off the story. it's a scene of "Ten years later" when Will......I'll not elaborate..go watch n find out...go watch the show okay!
And I just remembered that I missed Campus Superstar tonight. arrgghh! I wana hear Hysen Lim sing! Later we can mae him singe during Biz Club!

Say "Hi!" To Biz Club 3rd Exco!
After a long week of waiting after elections, the results are out! here are the people who will be serving Biz Club for the coming year:

Chief Executives
Chief Executive Officer: Han En Chou
Managing Director: Wee Jia Xian

Business Development
Business Development Director: Lim Hysen
Asst. Business Development Director: Neo Jack Wee

Corporate Affairs
Corporate Affairs Director: Chia Sy En

Finance
Finance Director: Lim Jun Jin
Asst. Finance Director: Lau Meina

Human Resource
Human Resource Director: Chin Hui Zhi Sandy
Asst. Human Resource Director: Chu Yi Siang Daniel

Inventory & Operations
Operations Director: Ng Siu Hei Hayden
Inventory Director: Lian Zimin
Asst. Inventory Director: Tang Siu Yin

Marketing
Marketing Director: Quek Hui Qi
Asst. Marketing Director: Chang Ming Kai Charles
Asst. Marketing Director: Tan Si Jie Rachel

As you can see, my name is under....Operations Director..which means...I'm the "keeper of the keys"...no...I'm not going to be another Hagrid but this means that I'll have to stay back late every day to lock up perkafe=Sianz...which also means i'll have to cram lots of mugging during the weekends and times of peace at Pekafe. Aparently, Perkafe is still experiencing "unrest" due to the high customer flow and frequent breakdowns of equipment( Like the stupid mash potato machine..) and lack of stocks. Oh wel..gota mug harder this June...
Anyway, thanks loads to all the people who voted for me and special thanks goes off the See Teng who helped me make this number tag( which I totally forgot that we even needed it..) Thanks loads!=) As for those who are wondering why "guang liang" is appearing on the tag, that's because almost every single soul in Biz Club( Except JianXin and SiuYin who prefer to call me hack dan"black egg') calls me that for some apparent reason...some say I look like him...which makes me rather bamboozled.XDXD

Here are just some crappy Biz club stuffs that I modified this evening

Random pictures:
Here are some scenes taken from the MJ council investiture. Only classes with councilors are allowed to watch the event live in the hall. For the vast majority of the school, we have to resort to( forced to) watching a "Live telecast" of the event in the lecture theatre. As seen from the pics, almsot everyone in the LT is either mugging or sleeping...or in the case of elmo, singing.

Soccer Finals:
After long battles with many other colleges, it has finally boiled down to this moment: it' sthe finals! MJ VS RJ!
Feel the Meridian Might!( foreground shows SA and VJ players)
The supporters of MJ @ National stadium

Despite all the efforts, we still lost to RJ by a mere 1:0. And the goal by RJ was not exactly very spectacular. But RJ was still good. Anyway, we gave a good fight to equalize but fate just did'nt seem to go our way cuz every single shot at the goal missed. But none the less, it was fun and the highness was just defening. As a matter of fact, we cheered louder and with better than RJ supporters. And we had more frequent cheers than any other JC present. LoLs...MJ Boleh!
This is als0 the last of the last time I'll ever go national stadium before it gets demolished. Persoanlly, this was not the best event I watched at the stadium cuz soccer itself can be quite boring when the game starts to drag.( Especially when there are no goals... applies to World Cup as well..) Here's my personaly favourite moment @ National Stadium:

What else can I say? Who else can sound better than the Best Band of the land? I mean best band in Singapore, JB and some say even Batam? TK Boleh!

Beware of SASS dear muggers!
Oh well..sounds like my flu is no isolated case. An flu epidemic has broken loose in MJ...presumably called:SASS(Severe Acute Slacking Syndrome). This flu virus causes the mugger to slack. initial symptoms include bad headaches and fever, followed by intense pain int the throat and a change in voice. Usually the resultant voice sounds like a Bass. This epidemic has caused many J1 muggers and tutors to fall half-dead during lectures and tutorials. even our Math Tutor was not spared. Poor Miss Lee had to tame all 13 of us monkeys with a bad throat...and I thought my interview was screwed thanks to my throat.
perkafe revamp!
Finally! It's here! perkafe is upgraded with new flavours and products! Our sales today can only be descibed as "ooh la la extroadinare!" The J2s said we made at least $200 today. This is more than double our daily income. However, we had a major screw-up during recess. Some crazy person ordered 25 scoops of ice-cream,2 brownies and 5 pizzas. The order clogged up our small oven and caused a pile-up of orders. we lost some orders and our stove got so hot that fumes from burnt cheese started to ooze out of the oven door and up towards the ceiling. By then end of 3 periods, the ceiling abouve the stove is peppered with a thin layer of "chao-da-ed" cheese precipitate. And Hysen was joking about it all the while. And thanks to him, we got to save some aluminium foil for our oven. Why? he reminded us to put butter on the foil to prevent the Pizzas from sticking to it. And this point has been emphasized over and over again...and no one took notice...haiz...
Saw siu Yan at the bus stop today and crapped with her about our hair-razing interview last Friday. Aparently, only 5 out of 6 of us in O Department got through. Lols...hope everyone else does well for the rally! jiayou!
Chinese test
Tommorow is a big day because...yes...it's our first Chinese test for our JC life! How "thrilling"! To all O Muggers mgging their Os, here's a sneak preview of what you will expect in your first JC1 Chinese Test:
1.Chinese proverb: If you have been studying or have been consistent in chinese this section is a must score. The proverbs can mostly be understood by word(字面解释) and it's in MCQ. They give you the proverb and choice of menaings..easy? wiat till next section..
2.Seen Passage from 课文. This is an comprehension consisting MCQ and open ended questions. The passage will be from a 课文 from your text book. So you should pass if you studied.
3Unseen passage. This is the KILLER part of the paper cuz it takes up a considerable weightage as well as it's high level of difficulty. The passage comes in 2 distinct varieties. The first one being from high end authors who write cheem Chinese texts from China, HongKong and Taiwan. The second type will be texts written by our highly respected PAP government mostly about how to speak "good Chinese"...and such texts are to be written in a strange variety of ungramatical or should I say nonsensical chinese.
Here's a classic example:华语作文 ...
This phrase is probably the crem-de-la-crem of all gahment Chinese errors...who on earth writes Chinese essays in spoken chinese?!?!?! It's like...hey..come write me an essay in spoken English...Fortunately most Sinagporeans are smart enough not to make such gross errors...even Sec1 kids can write better!
Verbal Vomiting:
Hurray! We are having our Chem and geog test on Friday back to back!!! This means we are going to ice-blend all our geog and chem notes and drink them till we vomit everything out on our scripts! Then we'll leave all the remnants of our half-digested notes all over the place for other desperate muggers to feed on! what a charity! LoLs...happy mugging muggers...we'll have lots of fun vomiting all our facts out...=)

棱檬茶的甜

"Tsou Wai Ting. Please tell us about your favourite food or drink."
"Yes, Patrik Sir,I like to drink lemon tea.I like to drink them because they are sweet and remind me of happy things."

This was a model answer Wai Ting gave during English Class in Primary2.
Indeed, Wai Ting has had an affection for lemon tea since young. She just could'nt live without drinking them once a day. Her parents and relatives have told her not to drink too much as the sugar was bad for ther teeth. "Don't drink too much sugary drinks. We don't want to see you with broken teeth," they would say.

But Wai Ting had her own philosophy:( People who eat sweet stuff are happy people because sugar brings sweetness to their lives. Besides they help inject energy into youand allows you to pursue happiness.)

Perhaps she was right afterall. From primary School to Secondary School, her life was filled with happiness and joy. She had everything a child needed. She had a nicewarm home in KwunTong, doting parents, a wonderful brother and nice relatives. In school, her life was equally good. her feedback from teachers were often excellent and she had lots of friends. Her acadamia was exceptional, clintching first in level positions every year. With the exception of her short height, she had everything a girl wanted. She had good looks and had a face any guy would die for. Her life could only be described as "一帆风顺" She was always happy and a sweet mile was always seen hanging from her face.

When she topped the district in her O levels, her parents and grandparents took their day-off form their daily routine to celebrate for her. it seemed as if she had gotten an "Imperial Scholarship".

When she set off on her journey in High School, her family had high expectations of her. Her teachers were equally confident that she would do well and get a place in the prestigious Hong Kong University. She studied hard and her grades were exceptional.

Her A level release fell on the same day as her grand father's 80th Birthday (八十大寿) Her family had expected a double surprise"双喜临门". it was expected that she would score for her As.However, that proved not to be the case.

Her A levels were only mediocre. She had a B and 3 Cs. Her dreams of getting into HKU were dashed. She was hounded by friends and teachers finding out what had heppened. She did'nt want to go to her grandfather's birthday dinner as it would be such a shame for her to show her mediocre scores. But her mother persuaded her and she decided to go. Her grandfather had doted on her and it would be such a disrespect to be absent at such an important event.

When Wai Ting reached her grandparent's place, she was again hounded by her relatives. All wanting to know how well she did. She could not take it anymore. She dared not show her face to her relatives who had expected so much from her. She dashed out of the flat and ran towards a nearby carpark and cried. She had never cried so hard in her life. Her mother chased after her.

Her mother tapped her gently on the shoulder." So what if you can't get into HKU? You can always go to other universities in Hing Kong. There are still many universities you can choose from. You have tried you best, we wont blame you.."

From that day onwards, Wai Ting never drank lemon tea again. Her liking of sweet stuff was also gone. In her past 18 years of living she finally knew the meaning of utter failure. Life is not seet afterall. Sometimes life just seems to taste bitter.

Thanks to her family support, smiles returned to her face. Wai Tin got herself a place at City University(城市大学) in Kowloon Tong(九龙糖). Her university life was not bad. She made a number of new friends and she coped well with her acadamics. Life seemed to return to normal.

It was after some time that Wai Ting apprached the Vitasoy drink machine again. She hesitated for a while before tapping her Octopus. She pressed hard on the Vita lemon tea button. The first taste of lemon tea was heavenly. The flavour of tea and the sweetness of sugar filled her mouth as the liquid flowed into her mouth. She had never felt so good for so long. But happiness was not to last.

Wai Ting soon got attracted to Kit Zai, the (校草). Kit Zai was the guy of her dreams. He had good looks and she could not live without seeing him at least once a day. To Kit Zai, WaiTing was just another cute girl downt the street. But slowly both of them grew closer and got into relationship.

Love was sweet, just like lemon tea. But it was just as bitter too. Six months after their relationship started, they broke up. Kit Zai had found someone of "better quality" and she was left...alone...

The pain was scorching. Her heart was frozen solid. From the day they broke up, Wai Ting's eyes were perpetually coloured red. Her senses seemed to detect only one taste. Bitterness. Happiness was erased eintriely from her mind. Often, she did'nt know what she wanted in life. While waiting for the KCR, she always had a temptation to jump onto the tracks whenever a train was approaching. Life has lost its meaning until...

It was a December morning when her grandfather was struck with a stroke. He was ruched into hospital and docotrs took almost hlaf the day to save him. After almost 6 hours of surgery, his condition was stabilized but he was in a coma. When she was her beloved grandfather in such a battered state, Wai Ting wept.

It took her grandfather almost a week for him to regain consiousness. Wai Ting was there to see him. A sense of relief swept over her. That was probably the happiest day of her life...

After her grandfather was discharged, Wai Ting spent ample time looking after him, taking him on regular walks. On one occasion they passed by another Vita Drink machine. Her grandfather bought a packet of lemon tea and stuffed it into her hand.
" Drink this." he said.
"Why?"
"Just do as I say..."
Cautiously, Wai Ting plunged the plastic starw into the packet and slowly sipped out the liquid.
"Is it nice?"
"Yea...it's sweet...and there's the taste of lemons and tea leaves too..."
"What does tea taste like?"
"Bitter."
"Lemons?"
"Sour."
"Imagine how this drink would taste like if we removed all the lemons and tea leaves."
Wai Ting paused for a while. She finally understood what her grandfather had wanted to say.
"then it would be just sugar and water then.." she replied
Lemon tea would not be lemon tea without lemons, sugar and tea leaves. If we were to remove just any one of these ingrediants it would not be lomon tea anymore. Life is like a packet of lemon tea. Though it has one more flavour: spice. Together, these four flavours( 甜酸苦辣)form the base of our life. Without any of these flavours, life would'nt be as we know it today. Happiness and bitterness are just parts of our lives and no matter how bad or good you are today does not translate to the "you" of tommorow.
Wai Ting smiled and looked into her grandfather's eyes." You'll return back to your normal health soon."
End
Notes: This story has been adapted from "甜饴密语" by Chow Suk Ping. I have translated and modified some parts of the story for easier understanding for a Singaporean audience.
Hope fellow JC muggers and O level paddlers are aware of this too: o matter how suay you are today, does not mean you will have a suay future. Stay focused on your goal and keep positive. Enjoy! =)
usual Crap
Oh well, went through the wierd.serious and funny Biz Club exco interview. So far, all six of us O deparment people seemed to have done well...hope we all get to do our rallies..jiayou people!
Presently down with a Frikkin fever..F***..next week got 3 tests!!! Grr...

Speaking Le Good French:
Due to sudden interest, we happened to pick up a copy "French for Dummies" while mugging. here's what we learnt today.

Ok...this is all so familiar...Here're some less familiar tips like..when to say"voila!"

When to say "Voila!"

When you've whipped up some very nice dish.

When you've made phenominale improvement in le mugging.

When you've made an artistique piece of art.

When NOT to say "Voila!"

Err...

After you've burped...

When you're arrested.

Some more serious stuff.

Ooh! chem SPA...what is piece of shit it became..it's just so damn screwed...I won't elaborate cuz they may get me in trouble for disclosing anything..all I can say after PSA is the following," Holy F***!!"

I was also given the task of helping JianXin screw some broken tables...credits go to JianXin for doing most of the screwing...and all i did was to provide the wrench...the tables are still a bit "senget" to one side but now it's much more usable...lols..more sai kanging to come for Perkafe..We now have a brand new convection oven(ooh...) and a huge fridge(...) We are also going to introduce some drinks...like carbonated strawberry juice that tastes like orange juice...

PowerPuff-ed Mugging and Chemistry
One major thing that I must congrtulate myself for...I have finished my 1000 word essay, plus completed my summary for chem and math, finished binomial theorem tutorial and did parts of my geog and chem tutorials plus mugged my SPA. In 2 days.
Gosh..so tiring...really wished I could have some kind of mugging power to help me...
Here's a recipie which I may want to consider:
Step1:Find a Chem expert with lots of brains like Dr Tan Kee Hoe.
Step2: Get a lab..School Lab can be an option.
Select choice of ingrediants to mug...

Evacuate the Lab/School...
Product:

See? Ain't Chemistry great?
LoLs..so lame...anyway SPA is starting to be a pain in the neck. Not because it's difficult but there's always a possibility those crazy people from cambridge will come up with some stupid chemical that does not change colour so obviously when it has reacted..and as for all practicals..please..no more Posattium manganate VI...please..I hate that stupid chemical.
Just submitted PI on Friday and I exceeded the maximum toleratable word limit by 6 words. Gosh..hope i can really get my EE...PW is an A subject considering I'm not gona do very well for the rest...They also released our PW groupings taht day...my group got 4 people, Jon,Meng,Evane and Moi..lols..happy working people!
