龙井问茶(英文板): This is a true story.
During the summer vacation, two HKU students were on a trip to HangZhou. One of their aims was to visit the village of 'long jing,龙井", which is famous for long jing tea, 龙井茶. After passing 9 rivers by bus, they were thirsty and they became more desperate for a drink. After asking for directions, they were told to walk past 18 streams and they would reach the village were they would have tea brewed from clear spring water.
Once they were on the way, they took no breaks to reach their destination. Regardless whether the sun was burning or the wind was blowing, they tried to travel the fastest they could.
When they reached the village, they were exhausted, and went into the tea-house.The owner asked them,"You've passed 9 rivers and 18 streams. the scenery must have been great.right?"
The students froze. HangZhou is also famous for their "9 rivers, 18 streams"! But they forgot to enjoy the scenery along the way because they were rushing.
"遗憾的是他们急与奔向目标却忘了过程中的美景".
All of us have each of our own journeys to take and follow. Schooling, work,NS,job-hunting...whatever... But have we asked ourselves: What have we learnt from the journey we just went through? What did we get from it? Joy?Satisfaction? New Knowledge? Life lessons? =/
Every journey we take is an opportunity to learn and be touched. Even if the goal is the tiniest of things, pay attention to everything that brushed pass you. You may just have found enlightenment along the way. =)
