# Celebrating 400th post with more to come :) The Random Peoples Post This is perhaps the first, and last time I pose alone infront of the camera. Not very fun..but quite amusing because of the NZ flag. The luckiest man: What a fortune..or misfortune...(Ok..since biz club ladies are nice people I shall say fortune XD) Daniel and Charles could not come for the biz club mahjong session at Sy En's place...so....I became surrounded by ladies...=) Oooh! =D Interesting! And since most bi club gatherings have more guys than girls....it's even more interesting...=)
After I leave, the ladies will have a 'ladies nite " Sy En's place =) Have fun!
This was supposed to be a lunch session before Leon and me go in. But since it's still more than a month before I go in, I shall not sy it to be the last. Too bad Boey never come...
Anyway, blesses to everyone!=) Happy Birthday Uncle Alfred!=)
15/2/09
After a few drinks... Ah Man and his girlfriend from the north
More drinking =)
The many toasts...
Since my next post will be about Geography...A level style...
I'll leave you with one more random animal that I forgot to upload previously: This guy wanted to steal my ice-cream. =D
100% Pure NZ Life One of the things tourists do is to visit souvenier shops and buys lots and lots of stuff. If you're like me, who have many people to satisfy, go visit the budget stores. You get great bargains and lots of stuff for your friends at a very low price...though the atuff will be..small. XD Cartoon is not based on soemone from biz.
Sunset behind the moutains. Te Anau.
This is Doubtful Sound. One of the many fiords in Fiordland. Looks like Lord of the Rings. (it was not shot there exactly but somewhere nearby)
And this is some great untouched forest! the nearest civilisations is 30 plus km away. =)
Incredible sunset. The real thing looks much better! Lake Te Anau, Te Anau.
The world famous Milford Sound. Absolutely incredible. But not as incredible as the Milford Road. And i was lucky..because it rained! Why? Raining makes lots of...
Waterfalls. Some of them are premanent. Like these...the guide says it's cleaner than tap-water. Just dip in and drink!
And most spectacular of all....you get mountains of waterfalls. Thousands of them 360 degress around you. And the pictures show nothing. You just have to go there and see it for yourself!=D
Grass...
And more grass....=)
Otago Peninsular. You can see some seals on the rocks.
The other side of the bay.
And..Welcome to Burnside High School. it's one of the best colleges in Christchurch. And..it kinda reminds me of...MJ
Rollling hills of-Sheep! Otago Peninsular. meeeehhh! I took this from the road. and I think I caught their attention.
This pier is invaded by another race-seagulls.
Welcome to Cadbury world! There's just an uncoutnable variety of flavours-just for the bars and much much more! The bargain is also a zillion times bette than the local supermarket (minus Park n Save). and forget about the Singapore supermarkets.=) You can never get chocs at such a price!
Farm? Nope. this is part of a research thingy by Loncoln University, Canteburry.
Baldwin Street,Dunedin. The world's steepest street.
How steep is it? this steep. It's very difficult just to balance. Don't talk about drive. But many locals actually drive down this road daily. Some incredible driving skills they have.
grass. Cheese shop. they have lots of vareities which taste pretty decent. Minus the blue cheese which tastes absolutely revolting.
Where they store the cheese. It's kept at around 10 degrees.
Welcome to Geraldine! (not Geraldine Tay) this is the Geraldine Museum. Very small town with nothing else other than a few streets, fur shops and lots of cherries.
Have a seat! Queenstown,Central Otago
TSS Ernslaw.
Moeraki Boulders. These are huge spherical boulders along Kokoehe Beach. They're actually hollow in the interior. And the beach sand is very saturated..which makes it very good for writing. =)
100% Pure NZ Animals..again..
Talking to animals...especially when there's no human around. Just cows and sheep. (I have no idea how to draw a sheep)
Fat Cat! Baldwin Street, Dunedin
Sheep Crossing. Otage Peninsular NZ fur seals. Very lazy on land due to their big size and very..immobile body. So...might as well sleep. You get many of such sleeping blobs of fat along the beach. And you might even spot someone's mouth watering. sweet dreams!
Finally, I managed to take a photo of a penguin which I have been talking to. This bird is-(according to penguins reserve Dunedin) 'cleo', 13 years old, raised 11 chicks and had 2 divorces. Not bad for a penguin becasue divorce rates are very high. So 2 divorces is considered quite good. Both guys and girls can dump their partner and the most common reacsonis because the another guy/girl is more attractive.
Hello to the owner. This is a fledging seagull chick who is about to learn how to fly. And very soon, it will ahve the red bill and feet just like it's parents. And these birds are very protective oft ehir kids. This individual( I believe is mum) flew in and chased me away when I got too close to her chicks.
This lamb lives near a winery, so I manged to catch up with it. the owner dared me to cuddle it. But you won't wana do it. Sheep are quite..smelly...as in they have a very strong 'sheepish' smell. XD
