MRT Breakdown=Oh my Sky! I shall take this opportunity to say "Thankyou! SMRT" for greeting me with such a "GOOD MORNING" today. When I reached Bedok this morning, I was greeted with this "Service Disruption: No train serice between Tanah Merah and Pasir Ris. So I just took the train to Tanah Merah and see what happened. I called Geraldine for info on buses and informed Mr Nathen that I will be late. When I reached Tanah Merah, I was forced into this err...not so crowded bus, which was supposed to take me to Pasir Ris via Simei and Tampines MRT. Well..it was "Supposed" to. When I reached Simei, The stupid uncle forced all of us to get off the bus and transfer to another bus opposite the road because of some stupid reason..I think it was because they did'nt know the way or something.. Then waited for 30mins for the stupid feeder bus to come and I bumped into EnChou's friend onboard. So at least I had someone who would be late with me. XD And this time, the bus was SUPER PACKED. The way from Simei to Pasir Ris was LOOOOOOOOONNG! We had a bus driver who was whimpering," Where is Pasir Ris? I dunno..I dunno....=(" And we were like" What the heck?!?! Since when bus driver dunno where is Pasir Ris one?!" At the suggestion of EnChou's friend, I took these pictures of people cheonging the bus...poor people.and..haiz...it's not very nice to see the true colour of us Singaporeans. So we were taken on this round-about tour of Tampines and Pasir Ris, which lasted a total of at least an hour. Along the way, we stopped at Tampines MRT where we saw this scene of people cheonging onto the road to catch the feeder bus.And I've gota tell you, the scene is seriously the most chaotic scene I've ever seen in Singapore..probably close to a riot. People cheonging to the opposite side of the road without caring about traffic and busses parked in the middle of the road. Then when we reached Pasir Ris, we had this joker who pressed the bell because he wanted to get off at a paticular stop and everyone laughed. And all of us were giving this "OMG! Who is this idiot?!" kind of face.. Since most of the passengers were meridians, we wanted to ask the driver to drop us off at the bus stop. But in the end, our stubborn driver still drove us all to Pasir Ris MRT. And best of all, i got scolded by that B**** when I reached school. Lucky got Mr Tan who talked us(There were like 80 over of us) out f the matter...thankyou Mr Tan!=)
What shocked me most was how the media reported it." MRT Service disrupted for...JUST 7 hours!" WTH?!?! JUST 7 hours? if 7 hours is JUST then what is 'seriousy disrupted"?!?! Best of all is that the cause of the problem is because of a service train..err..partially imploding? Somewhere between Tampines and Simei? Which is quite...serious?
Anyway, this has got to be the 3rd thime I kena-ed train service disruption in my life. The last time I was in HK. The MTR train stalled between WanChai an Admiralty due to signal glitch for 30mins. And the MTR received a few thousand complain phone calls on that day. The other time was also in HK when an LRT train got dislodged from the track..that was an equally irritating experience
