Time No Enough By Amy Teo: 10/04/2010 This post is based on a sermon. I've simplified it to make it more digestable. Not very long ago most of us were still wearing that ruddy uniform and mugging for A levels. By now, most of us would either be in the second half of (service) or finishing their first years at university. Have we regretted doing or not doing anything in the past? And most important of all, have we been maximising time that is given to us. Time is a resource, just like food, water, and other resources that keep us alive. It's the frame to which we are planned to live in and serve the world. Therefore, letting time flow by is like letting water flow by and not making use of it. This brings us to the bad news: time really flies. There's nothing you can do about it. But the good news is: you're the pilot. You're in control. So what will happen to you let's say 3-4 years from now? You can decide where you will be. How? Ask these questions: How often have you spent time with your family? How much time have you spent on studies, work and ministry? How much time have you spent on yourself? (Spiritual and emotional) Answer these questions and make sure you are happy with your answer. If not, do something to it to make it happy to you =)
