So Singaporeans, please don't complain that the MRT has not enough seats. I spent over 90mins standing and travelled over 40km I'm still in 1 piece. XD hehe!
Kennedy Town
After getting my new ID card, I got on a random cross-tunnel bus 104 expecting to get back to Kowloon. WRONG. I got onto a bus in the opposite direction towards Kennedy Town. Better still, I KO-ed on the bus...until the driver chased me off the bus at the terminus. Suay right? =(
The bus was parked in the remote parking area when I was discovered. (shit!) So I had to walk all the way back to the pedestrain area. (sian!)
This is the exact bus I got chased off

Anyway, took this opportunity to see what the western most part of HK Island is like.
This is creepy! The former site of Tung Wah Small Pox Hospital near the terminus. This disease killed a whole lot of people in the past century.
And opposite this ruins is the Victoria Morgue. (Quite creepy) And I sa a hurse enter the morgue along with a police vehicle (Even creepier...must be murder!..eeeee...)
Nearby is the dilpidated site of a former abbatoir and incinerator. (In the process if being demolished for new MTR line).
The detour wasted me over $10 for the stupid bus ride. So, to compensate the blunder (stupid bus companies!) I took the tram back. (Cheaper. yay!) And got myself slightly more familiar with Central West district. =)
To sy: This does not mean I will not get lost! haha!
XTRA: HK Urban Legends
Ghost MTR Stations
For those of you who are familiar with West Central district, you might know the existence of dilapidated platforms and MTR Exits which have never been in use. Many stories have circulated about 'spirit gateways' and 'haunted platforms". And some have even documented spirit activity at the abandoned platforms at Shueng wan.(Reff MingPao website)
In reality, these 'haunted' structures are remnants of a much more ambitious MTR project planned in the 1960s. But due to the economic problems of the 1980s when the Island line was built, the line was shortened to SheungWan and these structures are remnants of the original line. The new extention will not follow the old blueprints so these exits and platforms will continue to remain dilapidated and will continue to inspire more urban legends and stories.
