BURP!! Destressing is great when u hav choc cookies and Msn Live messenger!
Ok, sorry for ranting so much about my"abysmal"results on my previous post. I'm considered "lucky" my L1R5 is not TOO bad.Ok, so don't get angry with me. There's still hope! They will moderate! Don't worry!=)
Anyway, if your're interested in finding a job during firstn 3 months, here're some options:
The Makan show Host : 4B Makan Tour By:Louis,SiewMin,ChangLing,Gavin,Erlina,Jonathan,Kathy,WeiQi,ShuHuan,Darren,Pris,Peizhen, and ofcourse, yours truly...
Katong Laksa: Our first stop takes us to the Katong Laksa shop(forgot the name...shit..) near the Roxy Square over-head bridge. Our tour guide for the day is Chia Louis, who will also kindly show us his former primary school along the way. The Laksa was incredulous as it contains the wonderful flavours of Katong and the ingrediants were extremely fresh. It is by far...(ok...i better shutup..i noe that formal English accent is annoying..) Anyway, the laksa was seriously good. Although I thought it would be vetter if it were more spicy. Somehow, Kat could'nt stand the taste of the vegetable( i think it was presley) that was sprinkled over the noodles so she almost puked. When most of us have finished eating, we got quite "wu liao" perhaps because we still had an hour before we had go back school for chem lessons. So ShuHuan started showing us the pictures she distorted with her handphone. It was like soooo hilarious. Then she started taking pictures of us,like Gavin and started to distort them. It was quite cute, especially for the one with the alien look.
Awfully Chocolate: Our second stop. This is where one can find excellent chocolate ice-cream at an"economical" price.( quite ex actually, $3 for a few scoops) But the spoons they used were really cute. They were like small little yellow spoons which looked like some kid's toy. The container, was even better. It was like this little paper box that resembled a bucket. Best of all, was that we got to see how people act cute. Like WeiQi and Peizhen, who tried to squeeze themselves into those kiddy rides outside. So lame lor, even though they are"small" does'nt mean that they small enough to squeeze into somthing so small!
The Shit: Not a food item. Gavin became known as the "shit" today. I think it was something he said that made him a "shit" .On the way back,on the bus, the Shuhuan bit the "shit". Taste? Ask her yourself!
Have you considered? Makan show host fun or not? If not fun still have more choice!
SUPER RAFFLES JUNIOR COLLEGE (SRJC) During my free time, I actually got the opportunity to visit such and insituiton. This college offers a great learning experience. With its location between SengKang and Serangoon, it is extremely accessible from all parts of Singapore. The aims of setting up such an insitution was to allow people whose talent have not been recognised during their Prelims a chance at showing themselves. Best of all, their cut-off L1R5 is very big. 20+ I think? When I got to interview some of the students there, many felt that pragmatism in education is indeed an essential for success. They also expressed their views on formal education. One student commented on Physics and maths: "Why must study physics?! Ai....Who the hell will want to bother how light moves?! Not even our problem lor! U look at your Amaths! Draw duno wat stupid graph! Curve lik duno wat.Lame sia! Then trigo ar, like..." They are also very proud of their school name! Even though many of their talents have not been recognised by the current education system they believe that they one day will succeed. Indeed, many of their senios have performed exceptionally well in society. Many have become successful entrepreneurs or businessmen. Infact, the name SUPER RAFLLES can show us how much better many of their graduates have surpassed their counterparts from the famous Raffles JC.Showing how"SUPER" they are.
So how? convinced? SRJC good hor...Actually, this college does'nt exist. (It actually means Serangoon JC...yes..the "lan" one. The excerpt is from someone else...u noe...) But, so what if you don't get into a good JC? It is only 2 years and 2 years is only a small part of your life. Even the short 4 years in TK is short. Imagine 2? The most important is your future job and life. If the main road is inaccessible, you can always try the street, or even the alley. As long as it is morally corrrect, and it leads you to your goal, it's a plausible route. Even if you have to work as a Makan show host or sell ice-cream at haagen daz, there is still chance for you to persue your own dreams. The only way is to walk on...
