Prelims 2006 Porgramme of Events Part 1
The following post is the programme of events for the Sec4 Prelims 2006. It is hoped that all Sec4s will be able to "enjoy' themselves during this period.

9/11/06 Day1
First day! And we had chemistry practical for the first paper. The first thing that many of us said was" har...muz titrate that acidified potassium manganate 7 again ar?!" Seriuosly, I hate titrating KMNO4 because it is by far the most disgusting chemical one can titrate with(at sec level la..) First of all, it's purple, very dark purple...that's ok....but the worst thing about it is that you must NEVER allow it to touch any part of your shirt! If that happens, it's going to leave dark brown patches which will eventually for little holes then bigger holes and your shirt will soon look like some old lab rag. The rest of the prac was quite okay, except for some people who blew up test tubes(yes....we blew up a few..haha!) and smashed apart burettes(LeongHock...who used taekwando to smash it to pieces...nice right?)
After practical, we had to wait for like 3 whole hours for our geog paper. Wow...fun....3 hours doing nothing!! NOT!! All of us decided to mug geog for 3 hours and that explains why the library was so full. To make things worse for us, there was this group of Sec1s who so suayly came in to do this wierd survey on how we use the library. And they keep bugging us with all those stupid questions like"How do you use the library??" And I was like" Can't you see?!?!" I had to answer 3..or isit 5 people asking the same questions! And JingXuan was like shooing them away...she was like damn funny and I was like laughing....duno why people look hilarious when they are pissed...=)
12/9/06 Day2
E math and propaganda subject,SS. Had lots of "fun" attempting hard-to-do E math questions without calculators. Yes it was especially "fun" when all the answers are long decimals and gigantic fractions like, 0.37864593
The 3 hours of waiting time for SS was full of anxiety because we have no idea of what will come out. Haiz...we have turned from happy people to super pesimistic people.

SP:i tot i was the one pesimistic?

Fortunatly, we all lived!!! Ireland came out!!!! It was the same question that came out during the class test! All of us jumped for joy... YAY!!!
13/9/06 Day3
We had history....We were tested on China( Shanghai massacre by the KMT) for souce based....Surely get massacred by Mr Yusri one de....sure one...
14/9/06 Day4
A MAths!!! I Hate Amath!!!! LOL...Fortunatley, it was not like the nightmare I kept having. ( I had nightmares about having relative velocity,the most brain killing chapter, coming out for every question...XP) The questions were challenging but manageable, except for question number 3, which I left blank.Yes! Blank! Not a drop of ink! Oh yes, I also made an acheivment. It is the first time in my life that I was able to complete a full relative velocity question unaided!!!! Its RELATIVE VELOCITY!!!!! RV!!!!!AND I DID IT!!!!!!! YAY!!!!!!MdmHalilah must be so proud!!! ok sorry for getting carried away....=)
15/9/06 Day5
Physics practical was a disaster. The first question was managable, so not a disaster. But the second question, a BIG disaster. We were supposed to calulate the acceleration due to gravity by calculating the period for 20 oscillations of weights tied to a spring. The spring was supposed to vibrate vertically. It was simple...NOT!! It vibrated vertically and sideways! That was still not the disaster. The disaster was that after all of us did our calculations, we found out that we had abnormally large readings for the acceleration. By common sense, the acceleration due to gravity is 10m/s square. What we got was....38ms....56m/s........105m/s....My calculations were 315m/s! Amazing! how come earth's gravity increased so much?! There are 3 explanations to this.
1. The earth's gravity did increase tremendously in 1h45min
2.We were transported to some ulu planet like Jupiter unconsiously.
3. We made a catastrophic calculation error...
In my opinion, option 3 is the most correct answer. Because I strongly believe that parlax error was the cause. Or was it? =)
